Obituary of Rhoda Travaline

Rhoda Travaline, 72, of Hopewell Twp. died unexpectedly on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. A Hopewell Twp. resident for the past 47 years, she was born in Bridgeton to the late Benjamin L. Smith and Allie Raines Smith and was the wife of Michael Travaline. Before moving to Hopewell she had lived in Seabrook. Prior to her retirement, Rhoda had been a restaurant manager at the Ramada Inn in Vineland for several years. She had also previously owned and operated “Cleaning by Rhoda” cleaning service and the former Café Teddington in Bridgeton. She and her husband Mike would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this coming November 25th. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, David Travaline of Hopewell Twp. and Randy Travaline of Greenwich; her daughter, Stefanie Wood of Hopewell Twp.; a brother, Bruce Smith of Newport, TN; two sisters, Beverly Bailey of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Laura McCullough of Pittsgrove, 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Michael F. Travaline; a brother, Harry Smith, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, Nov. 8th at 3 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 3 PM prior to the services.
